How do OVO work out your energy use?
OVO use the meter readings you (or your smart meter) send them, to figure out how much energy has been used. Whenever they get a reading from you, they update your energy account.
If you have a traditional meter and they don't receive an updated reading, they will use your previous readings to estimate what you’ve used that month. Likewise, if your smart meter fails to send them readings for any reason, they will look at your old readings to work out an estimate.
You’ll see these estimates on your bill.
